On Monday 5th December 2011 shuktara in Calcutta received the keys to the new house for the boys. As you know we have been trying to purchase a house for some time now and thanks to your generous donations and the hard work of the shuktara team in India on Friday 27th January 2012 the boys moved in. On the same day we moved the girls into a rented flat in the same area.  Our next goal is to buy a permanent home for them.  Thank you to everyone who has been involved in this project.

Shuktara means star of happiness in Bengali. Shuktara Trust UK is a registered British charity. All funds raised in the UK are fully audited and will be transferred to Shuktara in India.
